DOVE PTA is a registered charity made up of volunteers that work alongside the school to offer the best possible experience to pupils during their time at Orchid Vale Primary School.
The main roles of the PTA are:
- To raise funds to buy resources for the school
- Holding events and other activities to build the school community
- Enhancing communication between parents and school
- Helping parents have a voice at school

Who makes up the PTA team?
All parents of children attending Orchid Vale school, as well as the teachers, automatically become members of our PTA. This is crucial for us to be able to not only raise the funds that we do, but also in being at the heart of the school community and sharing our skills and voices in its continuing success.
Our planning team are made up of parents just like you! We have our own children at Orchid Vale and believe that the PTA can really make a difference to all of our children’s education and wellbeing. We work closely with the head teacher, the teaching staff and the staff in the school office to ensure that we can continue to help strengthen the opportunities and advantages our children at Orchid Vale have.
Get involved!
There are lots of things you could do to help and be a part of DOVE PTA, whatever your situation, even if you only have half an hour to spare, there’s always some way you can get involved and help with the fundraising activities.
From baking cakes or just turning up on the day to help the events run smoothly, we couldn’t achieve what we do without the army of helpers that exists within the school. We regularly ask for volunteers to come forward to run stalls, set up or clean away which are all great ways to socialise and meet new friends.
